Impact of Hydrogen Incorporation on Electronic and Magnetic Structure of X2CrNi18‐9 Stainless Steel
Hydrogen uptake in austenitic stainless steel alters both its electronic and magnetic structure. Seebeck measurements reveal hydrogen‐induced shifts in the electronic density of states, while neutron scattering uncovers nanoscale inhomogeneities that grow upon hydrogen incorporation, with the most pronounced effect observed in the PBF as‐built state ...

Sequential cropping of Vertisols in the Ethiopian highlands using a broadbed-and-furrow system [PDF]
Investigates the effects of improved surface drainage on the productivity of Vertisols in a wheat-and-chickpea cropping trial conducted in 1987 at ILCA;s Debre Zeit research site in the Ethiopian highlands.

The cropping zones in the watershed under baseline climatic conditions and RCP scenarios.
Sequential cropping zones have been disaggregated into full double cropping and relay cropping zones. These zones indicate the areas where water availability is sufficient to permit different cropping systems.

Control of hairy fleabane in sequential and pre-emergence applications in soybean crops
ABSTRACT The control of Conyza spp. can be conducted at different times in the soybean crop. This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of controlling Conyza spp. by positioning herbicides at different times and their selectivity in the soybean crop.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

The current challenge in sustainable agriculture is to introduce new cropping systems to reduce pesticides use in order to reduce ground and surface water contamination. However, it is difficult to carry out in situ experiments to assess the environmental impacts of pesticide use for all possible combinations of climate, crop, and soils; therefore, in ...

The effects of solid‐state electrolyte architecture and electrolyte/electrode interfacial polarization resistance on Critical Current Density and the risks for “interfacial” and “internal” Li‐metal dendrite formation were investigated in simulations of FIB‐reconstructed porous‐dense Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO) “bilayers”, providing insight for full cells ...

Sequential crops for food, energy, and economic development in rural areas: the case of Sicily
AbstractIn this paper, we apply the principles of Biogasdoneright® to agriculture in Sicily (Italy), or more generally to Mediterranean agriculture. We propose new potential crop rotation schemes using Sorghum spp. drip irrigated second harvest and Italian sainfoin (Hedysarum coronarium L.) between two cycles of durum wheat to produce biogas and ...
