Injection systems for AMS: simultaneous versus sequential

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1990
Abstract The Simon Fraser AMS spectrometer operated at McMaster University for a period of about ten years. This instrument was unique in that the isotope beams of interest were injected into the accelerator simultaneously rather than sequentially, using an achromatic multimagnet injector.

Sequential injection analysis of nitrites and nitrates

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1995
Abstract A sequential injection system for the analysis of nitrate and nitrite is described. The sample and reagents are aspirated and mixed by flow reversal while being propelled to a reaction coil or to the detector. The determination of nitrite is based on the Griess-llosvay reaction.

Sequential Injection Chemiluminescence Methodology for Ozone Evaluation

Analytical Letters, 2011
A sequential injection methodology with chemiluminescence detection for the evaluation of residual ozone in waters is presented. The procedure is based on the reaction between luminol and ozone without catalysts. Linear calibration plots were obtained for ozone concentrations between 0.05 and 2.0 mg L−1, with a detection limit of 0.04 mg L−1.

Characterizing Semigroups by Sequentially Dense Injective Acts

Semigroup Forum, 2007
Sequentially dense monomorphisms and injectivity with respect to these monomorphisms were first introduced and studied by Giuli for acts over the monoid (N∞, min). In this paper we generalize these notions to acts over a general semigroup, and study the behaviour of this notion of injectivity with respect to products, coproducts, and direct sums.

Self-configuration of sequential injection analytical systems

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1995
Abstract Artificial intelligence is incorporated into a sequential injection analyzer by means of an expert system which is able to derive all the necessary parameters for the flow system to be automatically configured. The knowledge base behind the expert system is described.

Bioprocess monitoring using sequential injection capillary electrophoresis

2023
Bioprocess monitoring has received significant interest over the past few years. The production of biopharmaceuticals synthesized by living cells during fermentation or cell culture processes is a rapidly growing field. Additionally, cell based assays have replaced many in vivo assays because of ethical and regulatory restrictions on working with ...

An Experimental Study of Metal Co-Injection Molding with Sequential Injection

Advanced Materials Research, 2010
An experimental study of co-injection molding which involves sequential injection of dissimilar metal feedstocks into a mold has been carried out. The effect of skin temperature and injection velocity on the material distribution of co-injection molded plates has been studied.

A basic experimental study of sandwich injection molding with sequential injection

Polymer Engineering & Science, 1980
AbstractAn experimental study of sandwich injection molding is reported which involves sequential injection of polymer melts with differing melt viscosity into a mold. In isothermal injection molding the relative viscosity of the two melts is the primary variable determining the phase distribution in the mold.

Flow Injection, Sequential Injection Analysis, and Lab-on-a-Valve Approaches

2019
Flow injection analysis (FIA), which is an advanced method of continuous flow analysis (CFA), was conceived in Denmark by Ruzicka and Hansen in 1974, and the first paper describing this novel and revolutionizing analytical concept for conducting chemical assays was published in early 1975.
