Hantaviruses in Serbia and Montenegro
Hantaviruses are endemic in the Balkan Peninsula. An outbreak of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome occurred in 2002 in Serbia and Montenegro. The epidemiologic characteristics and genetic relatedness of Dobrava/Belgrade virus strains responsible for most cases are described.

Greek protected designation of origin Xinomavro wines are analyzed with ultra high performance liquid chromatography–trapped ion mobility spectrometry–quadrupole time of flight‐mass spectrometry (UHPLC‐TIMS‐QTOF‐MS). Both target and not‐target screening approaches are employed, leading to the identification and quantification of several polyphenols and

The geometrical shaping of coumarin‐153 single crystals into next‐generation disc and ring resonators using Xe‐plasma FIB milling is demonstrated. Optimized beam parameters (30 kV, 100 pA/50 pA) enabled precise fabrication. This approach minimizes structural damage while ensuring high‐quality photonic traits.

Neoconservatism in Serbia [PDF]
The text investigates the prevalence of neoconservatism among the population of Serbia, as an assumption enabling a political conservative turn. Having in mind that the evaluation of the prevalence of a phenomenon is a relational category, here the prevalence of neoconservatism has been measured, on one hand, in relation to the period of ten and/or ...

Evaluating the linguistic coverage of OpenAlex: An assessment of metadata accuracy and completeness
Abstract Clarivate's Web of Science (WoS) and Elsevier's Scopus have been for decades the main sources of bibliometric information. Although highly curated, these closed, proprietary databases are largely biased toward English‐language publications, underestimating the use of other languages in research dissemination.

Photo‐Induced Cracking in a Bi‐Component Molecular Solid: Capturing Structural Intermediates
The concept of Long‐range Synthon Aufbau Modules (LSAM) is used to design photo‐responsive bi‐component solids. The design strategy is primarily based on tuning the structural parameters of a robust large synthon that leads to [2+2] photodimerization along with photo‐induced cracking. Captured structural intermediates reveal a possible reorientation of

Has the current account broken up with its fundamentals in Central and Eastern Europe?
Abstract Substantial capital outflows across Europe following the 2007/8 Global Financial Crisis and 2010 European Sovereign Debt crisis raise concerns regarding potential capital outflows from the economies of Central and Eastern European countries. To shed light on country‐level factors that can mitigate crisis and potential capital outflows across ...

The essential issue among the Muslims of Serbia is still related to their feeling that the State authorities treat them as second-class citizens. In the case of Bosniaks, this feeling is primarily based on the fact that no Government has essentially acknowledged the crimes committed against the Bosniak population in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as ...

Many faces of D-branes: From flat space, via AdS to pp-waves [PDF]
We review recent studies of branes in AdS x S and pp-wave spaces using effective action methods (probe branes and supergravity). We also summarise results on an algebraic study of D-branes in these spaces, using extensions of the superisometry algebras which include brane charges.

Easily synthesized, economic, UV‐cleanable semiconductor‐bimetallic plasmonic ZnO‐Ag‐Cu (ZAC) composite shows extraordinary SERS efficiency by detecting analyte molecule R6G distinctly, at attomolar level. The synergy between the metal additives and ZnO results in enhanced plasmonic efficiency, improved charge transfer and useful photocatalytic ...
