Effect of Halide Variations on Cation Dynamics in MAPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, and I)

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the pivotal role of halide composition in dictating MA cation dynamics in MAPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, and I). MAPbCl3 exhibits the earliest and broadest onset of threefold MA rotation with the lowest activation energy, driven by pronounced octahedral distortions and reduced steric hindrance from the smaller Cl⁻ ion.

Free‐Standing Amphiphilic Organic Membrane toward Ultrafast and Efficient Demulsification

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A free‐standing amphiphilic organic membrane (AOM‐1) is fabricated for the efficient demulsification of surfactant‐stabilized water‐in‐oil. The oxymoronic presence of PEG‐inspired hydrophilic core and hydrophobic alkyl chains in AOM‐1 enhances oil flux, recyclability, and separation capacity as compared to its hydrophobic counterpart.

Pd‐Lined Strained Trimetallic Au‐Ag‐Pd Nanoprism for Enhanced Electrocatalytic Activity Towards Formic Acid Oxidation

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
Thickness‐controlled Pd‐lined trimetallic Au‐Ag‐Pd nanoprism (Pd‐1.5) with modulated d‐band centre and increased lattice strain enhances the catalytic activity, ≈7 times compared to the standard 10 wt% Pd/C, towards the formic acid oxidation reaction (FAOR).
