Animal names used in addressing people in Serbian
Journal of Pragmatics, 2003Abstract The paper deals with combined metaphorical/vocative uses of animal names in Serbian in addressing people, both abusively and affectionately, thereby expressing the speakers’ attitude towards their addressee. The discussion is based on the results obtained in a survey conducted with some 100 university students of linguistics.

The influence of smoking habits on cadmium and lead blood levels in the Serbian adult people
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2019According to the World Health Organization, in 2015, the Serbian population ranked among the highest ones in Europe in terms of smoking habit: 44.3% males and 36.2% females aged 18-64 smoked tobacco. Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies, 2007Through this essay, I assert that the intellectual authority of prominent cultural intellectuals can affect a form of “cultural pedagogy” that can essentially re-educate an audience through constitutive discourses that can re-articulate that audience's identity, cultural framework, and historical references, and in so doing can normalize mass violence.
