Henri Lefebvre and the spatial revolution that never ends: Towards the reconciliation of anarchist and Marxist approaches in geography?

open access: yesTransactions of the Institute of British Geographers, EarlyView.
Abstract It is widely accepted that Henri Lefebvre's Marxism had anarchistic traits, but few have tried to specify what these traits are, or what they mean. This paper argues that Lefebvre's work should be seen as first and foremost an anti‐authoritarian theory that uses space, rather than a spatial theory.

Parallelizing Bisection Root-Finding: A Case for Accelerating Serial Algorithms in Multicore Substrates [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Multicore architectures dominate today's processor market. Even though the number of cores and threads are pretty high and continues to grow, inherently serial algorithms do not benefit from the abundance of cores and threads. In this paper, we propose Runahead Computing, a technique which uses idle threads in a multi-threaded architecture for ...

A Lightweight Terrain‐Constraint Model for Wind Spatial Downscaling

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Machine Learning and Computation, Volume 2, Issue 2, June 2025.
Abstract High‐resolution wind fields has always been the goal of refined meteorological forecasting. Using advanced deep learning algorithms for wind downscaling is an effective approach to achieve this goal. However, the lack of physical process understanding in deep learning algorithms results in the inability to accurately reconstruct fine‐scale ...

非对称双环式行星减速器的参数化系列设计

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2009
Parameterized serialization design is proposed for a novel unsymmetrical double-ring planetary gear reducer.Firstly, the structure and working principle of the reducer are introduced. Then,a serialization design system is developed, which consists of ...

YARS-PG: Property Graphs Representation for Publication and Exchange

open access: yesIEEE Access
Graph serialization is a critical aspect of advancing graph-oriented systems and applications. Despite the importance of standardized serialization for property graphs, there is a lack of a universal format encompassing all essential features of graph ...

A Theoretical Study of Process Dependence for Critical Statistics in Standard Serial Models and Standard Parallel Models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Critical parts of the definitions of standard serial and standard parallel modes refer to stochastic independence. Standard serial models are defined by stochastic independence and identical distributions of their processing times. Processing times in the serial models are identical to the intercompletion time statistics.

Stephen Dedalus and the Mourning Echoes to Shakespeare’s Hamlet

open access: yesLiterature Compass, Volume 22, Issue 2, June 2025.
ABSTRACT This article practises genetic criticism on James Joyce and extrapolates new instances of literary influence between William Shakespeare's Hamlet and Joyce's Ulysses. Building on recent scholarship that sheds light on the compositional processes of A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and Ulysses, we unveil two Shakespearean echoes (one of ...
