Blockchain and NoSQL: Enhancing Throughput via a Deep Learning‐Based Hybrid Architecture
ABSTRACT Any data structure used to store information can be considered a database. Blockchain technology, at its core, is no more than a ledger to store information about transactions. In recent years, such technology has gained immense popularity in a wide range of applications.

Benchmarking JSON BinPack [PDF]
In this paper, we present benchmark results for a pre-production implementation of a novel serialization specification: JSON BinPack. JSON BinPack is a schema-driven and schema-less sequential binary serialization specification based on JSON Schema.

Abstract Using sarcasm on social media platforms to express negative opinions towards a person or object has become increasingly common. However, detecting sarcasm in various forms of communication can be difficult due to conflicting sentiments. In this paper, we introduce a contrasting sentiment‐based model for multimodal sarcasm detection (CS4MSD ...

Serial learning in a continuous serial list [PDF]
Learning of a continuous serial list with no intertriai interval (ITI) and no starting symbol was compared with learning of a standard serial list. As in a previous study by Lippman & Denny (1964), it was found that the continuous list was learned significantly more slowly and yielded a flattened serial position curve.

When the group ring of a finite group over a field is serial [PDF]
We make a list of finite simple groups whose group rings over a given field are serial.

Constrained Serial Rule on the Full Preference Domain [PDF]
We study the problem of assigning objects to agents in the presence of arbitrary linear constraints when agents are allowed to be indifferent between objects. Our main contribution is the generalization of the (Extended) Probabilistic Serial mechanism via a new mechanism called the Constrained Serial Rule.

Abstract The ubiquitous entanglement of digital, social and mobile media – and increasingly generative artificial intelligence – in everyday life is reconstituting us (and our methodologies) as cyborg. This paper sets out to explore how cyborg methodologies can positively impact research practice and outcomes.

Returning to the Scene: Seriality and the Serial Killer
This article reads the perennial popularity of true crime products as symptomatic of repression and cultural trauma. Providing a close-reading of gender representation in the popular Netflix series Mindhunter, the author meditates on the postmodern characteristics of the series, which also signal the “forgotten” or repressed content to which the viewer

We want to predict body weight while lying in bed for an elderly patient who is unable to move by himself/herself. To this end, we have implemented a prototype system that estimates the body weight of a person lying on a smart mat in nonrestraint and ...

Some t-tests for N-of-1 trials with serial correlation [PDF]
N-of-1 trials allow inference between two treatments given to a single individual. Most often, clinical investigators analyze an individual's N-of-1 trial data with usual t-tests or simple nonparametric methods. These simple methods do not account for serial correlation in repeated observations coming from the individual.
