Effect of Helmert Transformation Parameters and Weight Matrix on Seasonal Signals in GNSS Coordinate Time Series

open access: yesSensors, 2018
Seasonal signals caused by the Earth’s surface mass redistribution can be detected by Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). The authors analyze the effect of Helmert transformation parameters and weight matrices, as well as the additional ...

Educational Series 9. The Geology of Whitewater State Park

open access: yes, 1996
Many attractions of Whitewater State Park are related to its geology. The scenic bluffs, caves, and even the cold streams that support a thriving trout population are all related to a geologic history that spans hundreds of millions of years.

Encyclopedia of 2D β′‐In2Se3 Growth Using Chemical Vapor Deposition: The Effects of Synthesis Parameters Onto Material Quality

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

Experimental and Numerical Modal Analysis of Composite Sandwich Structures Using Surfboards as Model Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents an experimental and numerical modal investigation of composite sandwich structures using surfboards as model systems. By comparing different core materials and reinforcement strategies, the study demonstrates how local stiffeners influence vibrational response and introduce characteristic modal features, highlighting modal ...

Enhancing drought prediction precision with EEMD-ARIMA modeling based on standardized precipitation index

open access: yesWater Science and Technology
This study introduces ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) coupled with the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model for drought prediction. In the realm of drought forecasting, we assess the EEMD-ARIMA model against the traditional

ALGEBRAIC PROPERTIES OF FORMAL POWER SERIES COMPOSITION

open access: yes, 2014
The study of formal power series is an area of interest that spans many areas of mathematics. We begin by looking at single-variable formal power series with coefficients from a field.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Printed Integrated Logic Circuits Based on Chitosan‐Gated Organic Transistors for Future Edible Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...
