Hydrodynamic Processes due to a Series of Partially Spanning Logjams
2023Due to human intervention, many rivers worldwide exhibit sediment deficit as well as hydraulic and morphological degradation, resulting in the restoration of river habitat becoming a critical task. In Switzerland, the revised Waters Protection Act demands the restoration of 4,000 eco-morphologically impaired river kilometers by 2090.

Optimum Communication Spanning Trees in Series-Parallel Networks
SIAM Journal on Computing, 1985The optimum communication spanning tree problem is to locate a spanning tree which minimizes the sum of the lengths of the shortest routes between all pairs of vertices in a graph, weighted by traffic requirements. Although NP-complete in general, this problem has an efficient solution for series-parallel graphs when all requirements are equal.

Secondary neoplasms in the thyroid are rare. The study aim was to provide an overview of non-thyroid tumours that metastasize to the thyroid through our institutional experience. This study entailed a review of the pathology database searching for patients with metastasis to the thyroid at the Karolinska University Hospital between 1992 and 2019 and ...

Spanning trees with restricted degrees for series-parallel graph
2005 IEEE International Conference on Granular Computing, 2005In this paper we deal a classical problem, degree restricted spanning trees for series-parallel graph. Our general goal is to prove the NP-completeness of restricted degree spanning trees for series-parallel graph. To define it, let G be a connected series-parallel graph.

The calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor (CEOT) is a rare benign neoplasm that makes up less than 1% of all odontogenic tumors. This study aims to describe a case series of CEOT spanning 25 years and to review and compare our results with the existing literature. With institutional review board approval, all CEOT archival cases from the University of

Effect of temperature and span series surfactant on the structure of polysulfone membranes
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2002AbstractA macrovoid structure was found in polysulfone membranes formed by the wet‐inversion method using N‐methylpyrrolidinone (NMP) and water as the solvent/nonsolvent pair. The addition of Span series surfactants in the casting solution was found to inhibit the macrovoid formation.
