FACIAL UNCONFORMITIES AND FACIAL SERIES IN THE SEQUENCE STRATIGRAPHY
The sequence stratigraphy is currently, on the one hand, a leading approach in the study of the internal structure of sedimentary basins, on the other hand, a creatively developing discipline, the conceptual basis of which is being developed. The concept

Sequence stratigraphy, chemostratigraphy and facies analysis of Cambrian Series 2 – Series 3 boundary strata in northwestern Scotland [PDF]
AbstractGlobally, the Series 2 – Series 3 boundary of the Cambrian System coincides with a major carbon isotope excursion, sea-level changes and trilobite extinctions. Here we examine the sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy and carbon isotope record of this interval in the Cambrian strata (Durness Group) of NW Scotland.

BILOZERSKA SERIES OF THE UKRAINIAN SHIELD: PROBLEMS OF STRATIGRAPHY AND CORRELATION
The article discusses the problematic issues of the geological structure of the Bilozersky synclinorium of the Ukrainian Shield, its stratigraphic structure, formation composition and absolute age of the rock associations that compose it. The interrelationships of interregional correlation of the Bilozerska and Kryvyi Rih series of the Ukrainian Shield

Introduction to the “Circum-Arctic Palynological Event Stratigraphy” (CAPE) series of papers
Palynomorphs are one of the few groups of fossils that provide biostratigraphic control in marine to nonmarine rocks and can be applied as proxies for paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic interpretations. Their utility is enhanced by their microscopic size, which is usually less than 200 micrometres; they are thus easily recovered from small rock ...

Stratigraphy of the Miocene Series in the Hiki Hills, Saitama Prefecture, central Japan

PETROGRAPHY AND THERMODYNAMIC REACTIONS OF SOME OF THE ROCKS IN THE BANKET SERIES OF THE TARKWAIAN SUPERGROUP [PDF]
The Banket Series, which is a paleoplacer deposit, is the third formation in the stratigraphy of Tarkwaian Supergroup. This project seeks to study petrographically; the lithologies in the banket series to confirm the rocks identity as already known or ...
