COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Optimization of series-series compensated wireless power transfer system using alternative secondary side rectification

open access: yesScientific Reports
This paper focuses on the operational analysis of wireless power transfer (WPT) system, while the topology of the secondary side rectifier represents the main element, for which the properties of WPT system are being investigated.

COMPLEX GROWTH SERIES OF COXETER SYSTEMS

open access: yes, 1992
Let \(W\) be a Coxeter group with (finite) set of generators \(S\). The word length is \(l(w) = \text{min}\{r \mid w = s_ 1s_ 2\dots s_ r\), \(s_ i \in S\}\) and the growth series \(W_ S(t) = \sum_{w\in W}t^{l(w)}\). For \(X \subseteq S\) one has the Coxeter group \(W_ X\) generated by \(X\) and the corresponding growth series \(W_ X(t)\). Let \(\Sigma(

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Reconfigurable detuned dual‐frequency series–series compensated WPT system for high anti‐misalignment tolerance

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
In the realm of wireless power transfer, considering misalignment between transmitting and receiving coils is imperative. Traditional wireless power transfer systems experience a significant decrease in output power when the coupling coefficient ...

Universal series by trigonometric system in weighted Lμ1 spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2006
We consider the question of existence of trigonometric series universal in weighted Lμ1[0, 2π] spaces with respect to rearrangements and in usual sense.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
