Reliability‐Based Optimization of Series Systems of Parallel Systems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Structural Engineering, 1993
Reliability-based design of structural systems is considered. In particular, systems where the reliability model is a series system of parallel systems are treated. A sensitivity analysis for this class of problems is presented. Optimization problems with series systems of parallel systems are formulated.

Delay Estimation from noisy time series

open access: yes, 1997
We propose here a method to estimate a delay from a time series taking advantage of analysis of random walks with delay. This method is applicable to a time series coming out of a system which is or can be approximated as a linear feedback system with ...

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Copula-Based Reliability Analysis of Vehicles Based on Censored Failures Data Using Reliability Importance Measures

open access: yesIEEE Access
The reliability of modern vehicles is a current research problem described in many scientific publications. Currently, the literature includes studies on the reliability of vehicles as technical objects, focusing on the one-dimensional domain of the ...

Multi-manipulator gangue sorting system based on series parallel transformation

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2023
In order to solve the problem of single series or parallel robotic arms being unable to balance sorting load, sorting efficiency, and sorting accuracy for the sorting of medium and large scale gangue, a multi robotic arm gangue sorting system based on ...

Frequency domain analysis of a dimensionless cubic nonlinear damping system subject to harmonic input [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The effects of cubic nonlinear damping on the system output spectrum are theoretically studied through a dimensionless mass-spring-damping system model subject to a harmonic input, based on the Volterra series approximation.

Bayesian sequential estimation of the reliability of a parallel-series system

open access: yes, 2012
We give a risk-averse solution to the problem of estimating the reliability of a parallel-series system. We adopt a beta-binomial model for components reliabilities, and assume that the total sample size for the experience is fixed.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Intelligent Generation of Evolutionary Series in a Time‐Variant Physical System via Series Pattern Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, 2021
Intelligent generation of time‐variant control series remains the critical challenge for acquiring the desired system evolution, due to the difficulties in perceiving temporal correlation and conducting appropriate feedback propagation.
