Thin‐Film Thermal Sensors on Chitosan Substrates for Sustainable Transient Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Fully transient thin‐film temperature sensors are realized on pure chitosan substrates using Mo‐based RTDs and a‐IGZO/Mo thermistors. The devices exhibit high sensitivity, mechanical flexibility, humidity‐aware operation, and complete dissolution in natural solvents.

Application of imaging spectrometer data to the Kings-Kaweah ophiolite melange [PDF]

open access: yes
The Kings-Kaweah ophiolite melange in east-central California is thought to be an obducted oceanic fracture zone and provides the rare opportunity to examine in detail the complex nature of this type of terrain.

Surface Energy Modulated Self‐Assembly of Percolative Gallium Nanodroplet Films for Stretchable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Surface‐energy guided self‐assembly of liquid metals enables the transformation of liquid metal micro/nanodroplets into continuous perocolative films on elastomeric substrates. By tailoring interfacial energetics and wetting behavior, uniform, conductive, and stretchable films are achieved, offering scalable pathways for high‐performance soft ...

Hydrogen Generation and Serpentinization of Olivine Under Flow Conditions

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Serpentinization of olivine is often studied in the laboratory under batch conditions. Olivine conversion in situ with enhanced natural hydrogen production will likely be implemented via injection of aqueous solutions. Hence, transport is relevant to the

Bio‐Inspired Mechanical Amplification Block on Implantable Tactile Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
. ABSTRACT Implantable strain sensors offer opportunities for continuous biomechanical monitoring, but their performance deteriorates severely once embedded in soft tissue due to mechanical shielding that suppresses strain transmission to the sensing layer.
