Serum Apelin‐13 and Galectin‐3 levels were measured by ELISA in COVID‐19–positive patients and controls and evaluated alongside routine biochemical parameters. COVID‐19 patients showed significant alterations in liver, renal, inflammatory, and metabolic markers.

Fire‐induced shifts in activity patterns of predators and prey in the Brazilian Pantanal
Using camera trap data, we observed that 5 of 6 prey species showed statistically significant changes in temporal activity patterns, while jaguars were the only predator species to adjust activity when comparing pre‐fire and post‐fire periods in an isolated rocky formation in the Pantanal region.

Vitex L. is a pantropical genus of Lamiaceae comprising 209 taxa. Brazil harbors 35 species, representing nearly 50% of the genus richness in the Neotropics, with the Amazon showing the highest richness, followed by the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado domains.
