Maladaptive Inflammatory Signaling in Old Mice Impairs Colonic Regeneration by Promoting a Sustained Fetal‐Like Epithelial State

This study explores the impact of aging on regeneration of the mouse colonic epithelium. The authors find that old mice exhibit excessive and prolonged inflammation after infection with Citrobacter, resulting in the maintenance of a fetal regenerative state in epithelial cells, insufficient tissue repair, and death of the animal.

Sexual Reproduction of Plasmopara viticola in Wine Regions of Southern Brazil, Climatic Suitability, Oospore Formation and Germination

This is the first study to confirm Plasmopara viticola oospore formation in all major wine‐growing regions of southern Brazil and oospore germination under local conditions on susceptible and resistant hosts, and to apply ecological niche modelling to predict climatic suitability for oospore formation.
