Computational Analysis of a GST‐Based Long‐Wave Infrared Microring Resonator on a ZnSe Platform as a Photonic Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
A Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST)‐based microring resonator is designed and simulated on a ZnSe‐platform that operates in the long‐wave infrared (LWIR) wavelength of 8 μm. The structure demonstrates strong power confinement and high Q‐factor. GST resonator is used for gas and biosensing applications.

A Bear of a Case: Multidisciplinary Reconstruction Following a Grizzly Bear Mauling

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Grizzly bear attacks are rare but often result in devastating craniofacial injuries requiring staged, multidisciplinary reconstruction. A 61‐year‐old male sustained extensive facial trauma, including complete lower lip avulsion and anterior mandibular loss, after a grizzly bear attack.

Unraveling the role of UilS, a urea-induced acyl-homoserine lactonase that enhances Serratia marcescens fitness, interbacterial competition, and urinary tract infection

open access: yesmBio
Serratia marcescens, a member of the Enterobacteriaceae family, is an opportunistic human pathogen and a frequent cause of urinary tract infections. Clinical isolates often exhibit resistance to multiple antibiotics, posing challenges for successful ...

Complete genome analysis of Serratia marcescens RSC-14: A plant growth-promoting bacterium that alleviates cadmium stress in host plants

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
Serratia marcescens RSC-14 is a Gram-negative bacterium that was previously isolated from the surface-sterilized roots of the Cd-hyperaccumulator Solanum nigrum. The strain stimulates plant growth and alleviates Cd stress in host plants.

Reactivation of Serratia marcescens Endonuclease NucSma(H89G) by Hydroxilamine [PDF]

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Естественные науки, 2017
Serratia marcescens endonuclease is the most nonspecific nuclease known. This nuclease refers to enzymes that can cleave both DNA and RNA. The active site of this enzyme is characterized by the H–N–H motif, but more important functions have been shown ...

Remoção de Serratia marcescens (Enterobacteriaceae) das mãos pelo uso de diferentes agentes degermantes

open access: yesActa Scientiarum. Health Sciences, 2008
Foi investigado o efeito imediato do sabão, álcool etílico 70%, polivinilpirrolidona-iodo 10% (PVP-I) e clorhexidina 4% na remoção de uma amostra de Serratia marcescens aplicada nas mãos de cinco voluntários.

Exploring the Anti-quorum Sensing and Antibiofilm Efficacy of Phytol against Serratia marcescens Associated Acute Pyelonephritis Infection in Wistar Rats

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, 2017
Quorum Sensing (QS) mechanism, a bacterial density-dependent gene expression system, governs the Serratia marcescens pathogenesis through the production of virulence factors and biofilm formation.
