Large-Cell Calcifying Sertoli Cell Tumor
Journal of Urology, 1989We report on a 20-year-old man with a left testicular mass clinically believed to be a malignant neoplasm but subsequently identified as a large-cell calcifying Sertoli cell tumor. This is a rare form of Sertoli cell tumor with unique clinical and pathological features only recently described in the literature.

Ten Sertoli cell tumors of the ovary, which occurred in patients from 2 to 62 years of age (average 38 years), are reported. Two prepubertal patients presented because of isosexual precocity, and there was evidence of estrogenic stimulation of the endometrium in two postmenopausal women.

Malignant sertoli cell tumor of testicle
Urology, 1985The eleventh case of malignant Sertoli cell tumor of the testicle is described. The tumor displayed malignant character with local invasion into the epididymis. Retroperitoneal lymph node dissection revealed a malignant deposit around the left renal artery.

Cancer, 1971Although the majority of Sertoli cell tumors of the testis are benign, approximately 10% are associated with metastases. Malignant Sertoli cell tumors vary from slow to rapidly growing lesions, the latter exhibiting a considerable malignant potential. Two cases of malignant Sertoli cell tumor of the testis are reported.

Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 1979An 8-mo-old boy had an orchiectomy for a Sertoli cell tumor. Malignancy was suspected histologically. He underwent a retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy and no nodes contained metastases. The histologic criteria for malignancy in Sertoli cell tumors are controversial.

Actas urologicas espanolas, 2001Sertoli cell tumors (TCS) derivated from sex-cord estroma cells, are an uncommon variety of testicles neoplasms. A 66 year-old patient that came to the consultation for an increased scrotum of size present. Ultrasound viewed a hipoecoic nodule capable with testicular tumor, more secondary hidrocele.
