Inherited Variants in Serum Ceruloplasmins of the Pig
Nature, 1964BY means of chromatography and electrophoresis on starch gel, Morell and Scheinberg1 showed at least four different molecular components of ceruloplasmin in preparations from the plasma of 9,109 human donors. Then McAlister et al.2 presented evidence for multiple ceruloplasmin components in human sera.

Determination of ceruloplasmin in human serum by SEC-ICPMS
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2006This paper describes an analytical method for the determination of ceruloplasmin (Cp) in human serum. The method uses immunoaffinity chromatography and size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) to "purify" the serum sample prior to analysis of 63Cu and 65Cu by inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICPMS).

Value of an enzymatic assay for the determination of serum ceruloplasmin
Journal of Laboratory and Clinical Medicine, 2004The serum concentration of the copper protein ceruloplasmin has been an important diagnostic indicator of Wilson's disease (WD). It is widely quoted that 95% of people with WD have low serum ceruloplasmin concentrations. Current evidence suggests that a normal serum ceruloplasmin concentration is more common in patients with WD, particularly those with

Serum Ceruloplasmin Polymorphism in Cattle
1970Ceruloplasmin enzyme has been found in blood sera of most animals investigated (Seal, 1964), it shows considerable variability in its oxidase activity according to the individual animal species.

Serum and plasma ceruloplasmin in humans.
Journal of clinical chemistry and clinical biochemistry. Zeitschrift fur klinische Chemie und klinische Biochemie, 1989In a group of 76 clinically healthy human volunteers, we found a high correlation (r = 0.997, p less than 0.001) between the ceruloplasmin oxidase activities in serum (mean 127.2 U/l) and plasma (mean 124.0 U/l). Similarly high correlation was observed for immunoreactive ceruloplasmin, which was assayed in 65 samples (r = 0.993, p less than 0.001 ...

Serum ceruloplasmin in melanoma patients.
Anticancer research, 2001We have studied the serum ceruloplasmin levels as a possible diagnostic factor or marker for detection, diagnosis and follow-up of patients with melanoma. Ceruloplasmin concentration was determined in 64 melanoma patients (MP) and in 37 healthy persons (HP) by nephelometry. We found a mean value of 29.85 +/- 5.47 mg/dl in MP and 26.10 +/- 5.22 mg/dl in
