Redefining Crystalline Silicon: Unlocking New Horizons in Transparent and Flexible Photovoltaics
Crystalline silicon is presented as a platform for transparent and flexible photovoltaics. This review article outlines design principles for optical strategies to fabricate transparent silicon solar cells, mechanical strategies that mitigate silicon brittleness, and emerging concepts such as singlet‐fission spectral conversion and tandem architectures,

Temporary Programs, Lasting Questions: Ad Hoc Assistance in the U.S. Farm Safety Net
ABSTRACT Large ad hoc assistance programs have returned to U.S. farm policy since 2017, operating alongside a more developed safety net built around federally subsidized crop insurance, Title I commodity programs, and standing disaster assistance. This paper reviews the renewed use of ad hoc assistance, documents its recent scale using USDA data, and ...

IT Agility through Service-Oriented Architecture
Firms recognise agility as a crucial capability to survive and thrive in uncertain and turbulent markets. One of the reported enablers of agility, from an IT perspective, is the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). SOA with reliance on its characteristics has provided faster time to market and reduced system complexity. Review of SOA empirical results,

Cell Segmentation Beyond 2D—A Review of the State‐of‐the‐Art
Cell segmentation underpins many biological image analysis tasks, yet most deep learning methods remain limited to 2D despite the inherently 3D nature of cellular processes. This review surveys segmentation approaches beyond 2D, comparing 2.5D and fully 3D methods, analyzing 31 models and 32 volumetric datasets, and introducing a unified reference ...
