Redefining Crystalline Silicon: Unlocking New Horizons in Transparent and Flexible Photovoltaics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Crystalline silicon is presented as a platform for transparent and flexible photovoltaics. This review article outlines design principles for optical strategies to fabricate transparent silicon solar cells, mechanical strategies that mitigate silicon brittleness, and emerging concepts such as singlet‐fission spectral conversion and tandem architectures,

Regulation of Crystallization Kinetics via Zwitterionic Additive for Efficient and Operationally Stable Formamidinium Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a zwitterionic additive, Cl‐PPS, to regulate crystallization kinetics and passivate defects in formamidinium‐based perovskite solar cells. Cl‐PPS promotes direct α‐phase formation, minimizes necessary MACl loading, and induces highly crystalline, vertically oriented grains.

Sustainable Productivity Growth in Agriculture: The Role of Shifts in R&D Investments and Technology

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The objective of the paper is to evaluate the long‐term prospects of sustainable productivity growth linked to plausible assumptions on public agricultural R&D investments as the key productivity driver. Second, it investigates the role of changing R&D focus from yield maximization to input saving technologies (fertilizers and pesticides). The
