A Non-Iterative Approach to Direct Data-Driven Control Design of MIMO LTI Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
This paper proposes a non-iterative direct data-driven technique that deals with linear time-invariant (LTI) controller design by directly identifying the controller from input-output data without using plant identification.

Set-membership identification of Hammerstein-Wiener systems [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Conference on Decision and Control and European Control Conference, 2011
Set-membership identification of Hammerstein-Wiener models is addressed in the paper. First, it is shown that computation of tight parameter bounds requires the solutions to a number of nonconvex constrained polynomial optimization problems where the number of decision variables increases with the length of the experimental data sequence.

Robust Identification of Smart Foam Using Set Mem-bership Estimation in A Model Error Modeling Frame-work [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Theoretical and Applied Vibration and Acoustics, 2015
The aim of this paper is robust identification of smart foam, as an electroacoustic transducer, considering unmodeled dynamics due to nonlinearities in behaviour at low frequencies and measurement noise at high frequencies as existent uncertainties.

Fuzzy Logic System Application for Detecting SNP-SNP Interaction

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The identification of interactions between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP-SNP interactions) is crucial for determining human genetic disease susceptibility. With rapid technological advancements, multiobjective multifactor dimensionality reduction (

Filling a gap in the semantic gradient: color associates and response set effects in the Stroop task [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In the Stroop task, incongruent color associates (e.g., LAKE) interfere more with color identification than neutral words do (e.g., sFAT). However, color associates have historically been related to colors in the response set.

Adaptive dual model predictive control for linear systems with parametric uncertainties

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2022
Adaptive dual model predictive control (DMPC) for linear systems with constant parametric uncertainties is investigated in this paper. In particular, chance constraints on output and input are considered.

SET-MEMBERSHIP IDENTIFICATION OF CONTINUOUS-TIME SYSTEMS

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
The identification of continuous-time systems from discrete-time data is investigated in a bounded-error context. Errors are taken as a discrete time signal, additive on output, unknown but bounded with known bounds. The set inversion via interval analysis algorithm is used with validated numerical integration methods.

A Set-Membership approach to short-term electric load forecasting

open access: yesRevista Iberoamericana de Automática e Informática Industrial RIAI, 2019
This work presents a model for the short-term forecast of electric load, based on Set-Membership techniques. The model is formed by a periodic component and an adaptive non-linear autoregressive component.
