Distinguishing HapMap Accessions Through Recursive Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Decision Trees [PDF]
The HapMap (haplotype map) projects have produced valuable genetic resources in life science research communities, allowing researchers to investigate sequence variations and conduct genome-wide association study (GWAS) analyses. A typical HapMap project

Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees for Point Cloud Attribute Compression [PDF]
<div>We propose an embedded attribute encoding method for point clouds based on set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) [1]. The encoder is used with the region-adaptive hierarchical transform [2] which has been a popular transform for point cloud coding, even included in the standard geometry-based point cloud coder (G-PCC) [3],[4].

Comparison of Effects of Entropy Coding Schemes Cascaded with Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees
WT (Wavelet Transform) is considered as landmark for image compression because it represents a signal in terms of functions which are localized both in frequency and time domain.

Modified set partitioning in hierarchical trees algorithm based on hierarchical subbands [PDF]
This paper introduces a modified set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) algorithm that reduces the number of comparison operations and, consequently, the execution time needed to encode an image as compared to the SPIHT algorithm. The threshold of each independent subband is calculated after applying the discrete wavelet transform to the image.

Blind Dual Watermarking Scheme Using Stucki Kernel and SPIHT for Image Self-Recovery
In this paper we propose a blind dual watermarking scheme using Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT) and Stucki Kernel halftone technique for the tamper detection and image self-recovery.
