Approximation of nonconvex set valued mappings
1985The authors give a proof for the following theorem, which is a result on the approximation of a nonconvex set-valued mapping by a continuous function. Suppose that \(V\subset I\times R^ n\) and that F:V\(\to (non\)- empty compact contractible subsets of \(R^ n\}\) is an upper semicontinuous multiple valued function.

A calculus for set-valued maps and set-valued evolution equations
Set-Valued Analysis, 1995The author considers a range of problems related to differential calculus of set-valued maps. The proposed constructions are developed on the base of the concept of a multiaffine mapping or, simply, a multiaffine. By the definition a multiaffine is the mapping whose graph may be represented as the union of the graphs of a family of single-valued ...

Fuzzy Sets, Multi-valued Mappings, and Rough Sets
2002It is shown that there is a natural transformation of Dempster's multivalued mapping and Pawlak's rough sets and vice-versa. Furthermore, Dempster's schema is modified and restricted by Turksen in a particular manner to generate interval-valued Type 2 fuzzy sets.
