Stable approximations of set-valued maps [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales de l'Institut Henri Poincaré C, Analyse non linéaire, 1988
The celebrated Lax’ principle “stability and consistency implies convergence” is adapted to the case of nonlinear equation and even inclusions (multivalued equations) through a convenient concept of stability. It requires the definition of “contingent derivative” of single or set-valued maps and states that a family of maps is stable if and only if the

A characterization of open mapping in terms of convergent sequences

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2006
It is certainly well known that a mapping between metric spaces is continuous if and only if it preserves convergent sequences. Does there exist a comparable characterization for the mapping to be open?

Single valued neutrosophic mappings defined by single valued neutrosophic relations with applications [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems, 2020
In this paper, we introduce the notion of single valued neutrosophic mapping defined by single valued neutrosophic relation which is considered as a generalization of fuzzy mapping defined by fuzzy relation and several properties related to this notion

On the positive linear set valued maps [PDF]

open access: yesMiskolc Mathematical Notes, 2013
In this paper positive linear set valued maps defined on the cone are studied. The representation theorem for positive linear set valued maps is given and Lipschitz continuity of these maps is proved. The estimations of upper and lower norms of the positive linear set valued maps are obtained.

Generalized Lower and Upper Approximations in Quantales

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
We introduce the concepts of set-valued homomorphism and strong set-valued homomorphism of a quantale which are the extended notions of congruence and complete congruence, respectively.

General Existence Results for Third-Order Nonconvex State-Dependent Sweeping Process with Unbounded Perturbations

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
We prove the existence of solutions for third-order nonconvex state-dependent sweeping process with unbounded perturbations of the form: -A(x(3)(t))∈N(K(t,ẋ(t));  A(ẍ(t)))+F(t,x(t),ẋ(t),ẍ(t))+G(x(t),ẋ(t),ẍ(t))      a.e.  [0,T], A(ẍ(t))∈K(t,ẋ(t)),

Existence results for second order convex sweeping processes in p-uniformly smooth and q-uniformly convex Banach spaces

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2012
In a previous work the authors proved under a complex assumption on the set-valued mapping, the existence of Lipschitz solutions for second order convex sweeping processes in $p$-uniformly smooth and $q$-uniformly convex Banach spaces.

Point‐valued mappings of sets

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1995
Let X be a metric space and let CB(X) denote the closed bounded subsets of X with the Hausdorff metric. Given a complete subspace Y of CB(X), two fixed point theorems, analogues of results in [1], are proved, and examples are given to suggest their applicability in practice.

Set-valued homology

open access: yes, 1998
We establish homology groups based on a class of set-valued mappings and prove they are isomorphic to the classical homology groups. Any set-valued mapping in this class induces homomorphisms between homology groups of two topological spaces.
