The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Fighting Through Community Participation Based on Vegetative Conservation Approach of Wonogiri Reservoir Sedimentation in Sub - Watershed of Keduang [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Humans are the main trigger factors causes of sedimentation. It’s happened because of the farming and cultivation system that is not based on the principles of sustainable development. These human activities causes in damage to the environment in the

Insights from controlled, comparative experiments highlight the limitations of using BSMV and FoMV for virus‐enabled reverse genetics in rice

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, EarlyView.
Virus‐enabled reverse genetics (VERG) enables transient gene expression modulation in plants but its efficacy varies across species. We evaluated the efficacy of barley stripe mosaic virus (BSMV) and foxtail mosaic virus (FoMV) for virus‐induced gene silencing (VIGS) and virus‐mediated overexpression (VOX) in rice (Oryza sativa).

Fractions of carbohydrates and of nitrogenous compounds of tropical grasses at different cutting ages Fracionamento de carboidratos e compostos nitrogenados de gramíneas tropicais em diferentes idades de corte

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Zootecnia, 2010
It was evaluated by the Cornell System carbohidrates fractions and nitrogenous compounds of the following grasses at the cutting ages of 14, 28, 42, and 56 days: nilo grass (Acroceras macrum), angola grass (Brachiaria purpurascens), aleman grass ...

Hymenobacter setariae sp. nov., isolated from the ubiquitous weedy grass Setaria viridis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2020
A Gram-stain-negative, short-rod, aerobic, non-motile, red to pink-pigmented bacterium, designated Fur1T, was isolated from the dry spikelet clusters of a plant called Setaria viridis near Dongguk University. Phylogenetic analysis conducted based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain Fur1T belonged to the genus

Bridging the Late Antique Gap in Northwest Arabia: New Archaeological Evidence on the Occupation of Wādī al‐Qurā (al‐ʿUlā [AlUla], Saudi Arabia) Between the Third and Seventh Centuries CE

open access: yesArabian Archaeology and Epigraphy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In 2019, the Dadan Archaeological Project (CNRS/RCU/AFALULA) identified a Late Antique village 1 km south of ancient Dadan in the al‐ʿUlā valley (northwest Saudi Arabia). Three excavation seasons at this site (2021–2023) have uncovered a massive building constructed in the late third or early fourth cent.

Tandemly duplicated TaERF109 genes confer drought tolerance and post‐drought recovery in wheat

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
Tandemly duplicated TaERF109 transcription factor genes in wheat modulate growth traits and enhance drought tolerance by regulating the TaMADS56 transcription facto gene, cytokinin biosynthesis‐related genes, and nicotianamine synthase genes, revealing the critical role of tandemly duplicated genes in the coordination of stress responses and ...

Herbicide Resistance in Setaria

open access: yes, 2016
The four documented cases of field selection for herbicide resistance in weedy Setaria are described in this chapter. In each case, weed control failure was observed in practice in the field. In all cases, resistance was target-site-based resistance and was due to single nucleotide mutations causing amino-acid substitutions at codon 264 of psbA ...
