A Contemporary Artistic Vision for Color Application as a Creative Effect in Women’s Printed Fashion Design Inspired by Mondrian’s Works

open access: yesJournal of Architecture, Art & Humanistic Science, 2018
The study tackles the main role of colors in design in general and in fashion design in particular. It is used as a visual language of expression that reveals an indispensable sentimental value and greatly contributes to success of design due to the ...

The effect of surface topography on benthic boundary layer flow: implications for marine larval transport and settlement [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The effect of substrate topography on the settlement of coral larvae in wave-driven oscillatory flow is investigated using computational fluid dynamics coupled to a 2D agent-based simulation of individual larvae. Substrate topography modifies the boundary layer flow by generating vortices within roughness features that can be ejected into the bulk flow,

The Role of the Judge in Non-Class Settlement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This commentary argues that judges lack the authority, as a general matter, to approve or reject non-class settlements. While judges overseeing mass litigation can set the stage for settlement by instituting phased discovery, scheduling bellwether trials,

Polyfunctional CD8+CD226+RUNX2hi effector T cells are diminished in advanced stages of chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 5, Page 1347-1370, May 2025.
CD226+CD8+ T cells express elevated levels of RUNX2, exhibit higher proliferation capacity, cytokines and cytolytic molecules expression, and migratory capacity. In contrast, CD226−CD8+ T cells display an exhausted phenotype associated with the increased expression of co‐inhibitory receptors and impaired effector functions.

Inhibition of acyl‐CoA synthetase long‐chain isozymes decreases multiple myeloma cell proliferation and causes mitochondrial dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Triacsin C inhibition of the acyl‐CoA synthetase long chain (ACSL) family decreases multiple myeloma cell survival, proliferation, mitochondrial respiration, and membrane potential. Made with Biorender.com. Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable cancer of plasma cells with a 5‐year survival rate of 59%.

Settlement Mapping for Population Density Modelling in Disease Risk Spatial Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
In disease risk spatial analysis, many researchers especially in Indonesia are still modelling population density as the ratio of total population to administrative area extent. This model oversimplifies the problem, because it covers large uninhabited areas, while the model should focus on inhabited areas.
