Environment and Planning B: Planning and Design, 1987The comparative evaluation of six regional settlement patterns in terms of accessibility and the use of energy, and in the context of three different energy scenarios, is reported; the results are discussed in terms of their implications for planning policy and for further research in this area.

Patterns of urban settlements in Somalia
GeoJournal, 1979In this research paper attempts have been made to analyze the distribution of 68 urban settlements in 14 regions of the country. The value of near-neighbour statistic (R) shows nearly random pattern of urban settlements in some regions and approachingly uniform distribution of urban settlements in other regions.
