Ion Concentration and Voltage Imaging With Fluorescent Nanodiamonds

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate reversible switching between the fluorescent NV0 and the dark NV+ state, in sub‐30 nm FNDs via surface oxidation and hydrogenation, respectively. In an electrochemical cell, we show that the fluorescence from hydrogenated particles enables all‐optical imaging of voltages and ion concentrations at the micrometer scale.

New Fixed-Time Synchronization Criteria for Fractional-Order Fuzzy Cellular Neural Networks with Bounded Uncertainties and Transmission Delays via Multi-Module Control Schemes

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
This paper concentrates on fractional-order fuzzy cellular neural networks (FOFCNNs) with bounded uncertainties and transmission delays. To better capture real-world dynamic behaviors, the fuzzy AND and OR operators are employed to construct drive ...

Hierarchical Flexible Ceramic Nanofiber Membrane for Simultaneous Membrane Distillation and Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchical flexible ceramic nanofiber membrane integrates a La‐stabilized ZrO2 scaffold with superhydrophobic UiO‐66‐NH2/CdS heterojunctions. The gas–liquid–solid interfacial architecture sustains vapor‐selective desalination, visible‐light charge separation, and rapid H2 extraction, enabling simultaneous freshwater production and photocatalytic ...

The effect of treatment way of wash water form ready-mixed concrete plant on the properties of mortar

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials
The settling time of wash water from a ready-mixed concrete plant in a tank will affect its solid content and ion concentrations, which will further influence the properties of new concrete mixed using that wash water.

A Study on Effective Parameters in CPPLLs’ Transient Behavior [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2017
Frequency synthesizers are important structures which work as local oscillators in both the receiver and transmitter blocks. They are generally based on charge pump phase-locked loop structure.

Bottom‐Up Engineering of a Human Neuromuscular System for Modeling Activity‐Induced Remodeling, Metabolic Stress, and Endothelial‐Modulated Excitability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Using a bottom‐up approach, we engineered a human neuromuscular microchip to investigate distinct adaptive responses to neural stimulation and metabolic stress. Further integration of endothelial cells revealed their critical role in modulating neuromuscular excitability, establishing a comprehensive neurovascular‐muscular model.

Self‐Assembling Copolymers Encapsulating Single Endothelial Cells Induce Endogenous ECM Deposition and Vascular Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents the first demonstration of stable sub‐50‐micron single‐cell GPM vesicles fabricated through the intrinsic self‐assembly of an amphiphilic copolymer. Hierarchical assembly of cell containing GPM vesicles into microspheres enable tunable, sustained cell delivery with immune protection.
