Nihon Naika Gakkai Zasshi, 2003 症例は26歳,男性. 2002年2月16日頃より高熱・乾性咳嗽・チアノーゼ出現し,重症肺炎の診断で入院となった.胸部CT像で,斑状影が多数癒合した広範な浸潤影を認めた.ミノマイシン等の投与にて,人工呼吸管理することなく軽快した.肺炎クラミジアIgAの上昇より,肺炎クラミジア(Chlamydia pneumoniae)性肺炎と診断した.肺炎クラミジア性肺炎は,軽症で高齢者に多い傾向にあるが,本例は成年発症の重症例であり,貴重な症例と考え報告した.
