Revealing the Impact of Mono(2‐ethylhexyl) Phthalate (MEHP) on Prostate Cancer Based on Network Toxicology and Molecular Docking Approaches

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mono(2‐ethylhexyl) phthalate (MEHP) is a ubiquitous environmental contaminant and endocrine‐disrupting chemical (EDC), identified as a potential carcinogen. Emerging studies have begun to elucidate the impact of MEHP on prostate cancer (PCa), yet its pathogenic effects and the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. This study seeks to

Optical method supported by machine learning for dynamics of C‐reactive protein concentrations changes detection in biological matrix samples

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
The proposed method is based on an optical system supported by machine learning, that allows to monitoring dynamic of C‐reactive protein (CRP) level changes in near‐real time. Monitoring the presence level of CRP in wastewater might be used to track the spread of diseases or identify areas with increased morbidity.

Application of Parachlorella kessleri for treatment of poultry processing wastewater: effect of temperature on nutrient removal rate and protein production

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Wastewater produced from the thermal processing of poultry meat contains high levels of nitrogen and phosphorus. Thus, tertiary treatment is required to ensure that the wastewater meets Brazilian environmental regulations. Microalgae are capable of removing nutrients from wastewater and simultaneously synthesizing high‐value ...

Assessment of co‐digestion of poultry litter and swine wastewater: the effect of enriched inoculum on biogas production

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Co‐digestion of substrates represents a viable strategy to enhance biogas production. This study evaluates biogas generation from the liquid fraction obtained through phase separation of co‐digested swine manure and poultry litter, to assess the influence of the inoculum‐to‐substrate ratio (ISR) and to analyze the effect of ...
