Ecological Entomology, EarlyView.Bombus terrestris and Apis mellifera colonies sharing the same landscape (<50 m from each other) collected pollen with significantly different heavy metal concentrations. B. terrestris‐collected pollen contained 2–7× higher concentrations of arsenic, chromium, cobalt, lead and tin than A. mellifera‐collected pollen.
