The entropy solution of a reaction–diffusion equation on an unbounded domain
The degenerate parabolic equations from the reaction–diffusion problems are considered on an unbounded domain Ω⊂RN $\varOmega\subset\mathbb {R}^{N}$. It is expected that only a partial boundary should be imposed the homogeneous boundary value, but how to

Modeled nitrogen loading to Narragansett Bay: 1850 to 2015 [PDF]
Nutrient loading to estuaries with heavily populated watersheds can have profound ecological consequences. In evaluating policy options for managing nitrogen (N), it is helpful to understand current and historic spatial loading patterns to the system. We

Tailoring the Properties of Functional Materials With N‐Oxides
The properties of materials bearing N‐oxide groups are often dominated by the polar N+─O− bond. It provides hydrophilicity, selective ion‐binding, electric conductivity, or antifouling properties. Many of the underlying mechanisms have only recently been discovered, and the interest in N‐oxide materials is rapidly growing.

This study explores how iron and manganese oxides transform sewage sludge into plant biostimulants during composting. Non‐targeted identification reveals the main species of plant biostimulants. Metagenomic analysis reveals that 2‐line ferrihydrite specifically enriches microbial genes for biosynthesis, boosting plant‐growth promoters.
