A Universal Doping Strategy for Boosting Luminescence Efficiency of Blue‐Emitting Hybrid Zn Halides as Ultrastable and Underwater Scintillators

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
A Pb2+‐doping method is demonstrated to be a universal strategy to realize near‐unity photoluminescence quantum yield and high water‐resistance stability for a family of blue‐emitting zero‐dimensional Zn2+‐based halides through increasing the exciton binding energy and carrier density.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Perspectives in Drinking Water Policy: A Realist Review

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures have a deep, enduring connection to water. However, since Australia's colonisation in 1788, water management has shifted, creating ongoing issues for these communities. Notwithstanding the universal recognition of safe drinking water as a human right, significant inequities persist, particularly ...

CHEMICAL TREATMENT OF SEWAGE

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Aquatic Biology and Fisheries, 1997
Sewage treatment protects the receiving water from organic matter, nutrients, bacteria and viruses. The removal efficiency can be explained in terms of primary and secondary oxygen consumption. In Egypt the biological treatment process didn't prevent eutrophication in the receiving water bodies.

Investigating Performance Properties of Three New Types of UF Membranes for Carwash Sector Applications

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
PVC and its derivatives were used to prepare new types of UF membranes. Membranes had a high degree of removal efficiency of pollutants from carwash wastewater. The morphological SEM cross‐sectional of the membranes reveals to be porous ultrafiltration membranes.

Efficient and Fast Microplastic Separation From Aqueous Media by Electron Beam Assisted Developed Superhydrophobic Jute Fabric

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Efficient and fast microplastic separation from aqueous media by superhydrophobic jute fabric. ABSTRACT The accumulation of microplastics (MPs) in various aquatic environments is an alarming problem in the modern world. Hydrophobic surfaces are potential candidates to remove microplastics from water.

INSTRUMENT TRIPLICATION IN SEWAGE TREATMENT

open access: yesWater Science and Technology, 1988
One of the main problems with the introduction of automation is the poor performance of same instrumentation. One possible way of improving this situation is through triplication of the instruments (that is the use of triple active redundancy). This approach should give improvements in data availability, accuracy and help identify instrument faults ...
