Abstract Twenty-one male patients on chronic hemodialysis were studied for factors that might influence potency. Nine patients were found to have normal potency, five decreased potency, and seven were totally impotent. A strong relationship was found between decrease in libido and potency as well as between potency and vocational rehabilitation.
