Greetings from a Triparental Planet [PDF]
In this work of speculative science, scientists from a distant star system explain the emergence and consequences of triparentalism, when three individuals are required for sexual reproduction, which is the standard form of mating on their home world.

Love kills: Simulations in Penna Ageing Model
The standard Penna ageing model with sexual reproduction is enlarged by adding additional bit-strings for love: Marriage happens only if the male love strings are sufficiently different from the female ones.

In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.

Appropriate nitrogen addition regulates reproductive strategies of Leymus chinensis
Nitrogen(N) addition can significantly improve the aboveground productivity of plants. The responses of reproductive strategies to N addition remain elusive for Leymus chinensis.

Research on chydorid (Crustacea: Cladocera: Chydoridae) reproduction is scarce and very little is known about the dynamics of parthenogenetic (asexual) and gamogenetic (sexual) reproduction modes in these cyclical parthenogens.

A neutral model can explain geographic patterns of sexual and asexual individuals [PDF]
Many species reproduce both sexually and asexually producing genetically unique and clonal recruits. The relative contribution of sexual and asexual reproduction is mostly considered a consequence of natural selection, for example, disfavouring sexual propagules during invasions.

Parthenogenesis vs sexual reproduction [PDF]

Effects of selfing on the evolution of sexual reproduction [PDF]
Plants exhibit diverse breeding systems, with populations capable of outcrossing, selfing, and/or asexual reproduction. However, interactions between the three reproductive pathways remain not fully clear.

NF2 is Essential for Human Endoderm Development
This study demonstrates that NF2, moesin‐ezrin‐radixin like (MERLIN) tumor suppressor (NF2) is essential for human endoderm formation. NF2 knockout human induced pluripotent stem cells fail to form endoderm both in vitro and in vivo due to yes‐associated protein 1 (YAP1) nuclear translocation, redirecting differentiation toward myofibroblast‐like cells.

Sex bias in Neolithic megalithic burials
Abstract Objectives A statistical study comparing osteological and ancient DNA determinations of sex was conducted in order to investigate whether there are sex biases in United Kingdom and Irish Neolithic megalithic burials. Materials and Methods Genetic and osteological information from human individuals from 32 megalithic sites in the UK and Ireland
