Sexual self-concept in sexually abused homeless adolescents
Vulnerable Children and Youth Studies, 2010This study explored gender differences, sexual self-concept and life on the street among homeless adolescents who self-reported a history of sexual abuse. Individual interviews were conducted with 13 adolescents (six males and seven females) aged 18–20 years.

Self-concept and sexuality of spinal cord injured women
Archives of Sexual Behavior, 1978Differences in perceived self-concept and sexual response before and after spinal cord injury were examined. Twenty-four women between the ages of 20 and 40 completed a questionnaire and participated in a brief taped interview. Most of the women viewed themselves as very or somewhat attractive and had been involved in a sexual relationship since injury.
