This article examines physical and linguistic sites through which women and words about women circulate along Latin America’s Interoceanic Road, running from the Brazilian to the Peruvian coast. I argue that the discourse on women circulates with specific linguistic-packaging, made and remade at different sites.

Mating Systems and Sexual Morphogenesis in Ascomycetes
2014This chapter provides an up-to-date review of complex cellular transition steps in Pezizomycotina, from the differentiation of reproductive cells to the development of the fructification. Initiation of sexual reproduction in the sordariomycete Arachniotus albicans, as it is for several ascomycetes, is clearly not dependent on a particular pH range.

Sexual dysfunction with aging and systemic hypertension
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1988The incidence of sexual dysfunction increases with age and in the presence of systemic hypertension. An interplay between endocrine, neurologic and vascular systems mediates normal male sexual function. Etiologies of Sexual Maturation: A Model System Based on the Sexually Maturing Rat
1976Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the etiologies of sexual maturation based on the studies performed in postulated models in rats and children. The chapter outlines the changes in blood in luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) during maturation in rats and other animal models.
