The Role of Willpower in Major Depressive Disorder: An fMRI Study

Individuals with self‐directness (SD) traits exhibited significantly decreased resting‐state functional connectivity of the dorsal DMN with the right frontal pole and putamen. Also, SD was the only personality trait that was significantly correlated with depression severity and putaminal network activity.
