Seyfert galaxies in the local Universe (z ≤ 0.1) : the average X-ray spectrum as seen by BeppoSAX [PDF]
The BeppoS AX archive is currently the largest reservoir of high sensitivity simultaneous soft and hard-X ray data of Seyfert galaxies. From this database all the Seyfert galaxies (105 objects of which 43 are type I and 62 are type II) with redshift ...

Seyfert Galaxies with Circumnuclear/Nuclear Starbursts [PDF]
In this paper, we present our preliminary results on Seyfert galaxies with circumnuclear/nuclear starburst(SB) activity. We have searched the recent available literature and found 76 active galaxies with clear evidence of nuclear SB activity, among which 16 are Seyfert 1s, 51 Seyfert 2s, and 9 LINERs.

Jetted Seyfert Galaxies at z = 0: Simulating Feedback Effects on Galactic Morphology and Beyond
We use high-resolution cosmological zoom-in simulations to model feedback from Seyfert-type supermassive black hole (SMBH) jets onto galaxies with identical dark matter (DM) halos of log M / M _⊙ ∼ 11.8. The low-mass, ∼10 ^6 M _⊙ , seed SMBHs have been

REVERBERATION MAPPING MEASUREMENTS OF BLACK HOLE MASSES IN SIX LOCAL SEYFERT GALAXIES [PDF]
We present the final results from a high sampling rate, multi-month, spectrophotometric reverberation mapping campaign undertaken to obtain either new or improved Hβ reverberation lag measurements for several relatively low-luminosity active galactic ...

Dust lanes, thick absorbers, and the unification model for Seyfert galaxies [PDF]
A modification of the popular unification model for Seyfert galaxies is proposed, which takes into account recent observational findings on the statistical properties of both type 1 and type 2 Seyferts. In the proposed scenario, Compton-thick Seyfert 2 galaxies are those sources observed through compact, thick matter (the `torus'), while Compton-thin ...

Mapping the Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 Galaxy 1H 0323+342
Taking advantage of the most recent measurements by means of high-resolution radio observations and other multiwavelength campaigns, it is possible to elaborate a detailed map of the narrow-line Seyfert 1 Galaxy 1H 0323 + 342 .

MULTI-WAVELENGTH PROBES OF OBSCURATION TOWARD THE NARROW-LINE REGION IN SEYFERT GALAXIES [PDF]
We present a study of reddening and absorption toward the narrow line regions (NLRs) in active galactic nuclei (AGNs) selected from the Revised Shapley-Ames, 12 μm, and Swift/Burst Alert Telescope samples.

Is the cluster environment quenching the Seyfert activity in elliptical and spiral galaxies? [PDF]
We developed a hierarchical Bayesian model (HBM) to investigate how the presence of Seyfert activity relates to their environment, herein represented by the galaxy cluster mass, $M_{200}$, and the normalized cluster-centric distance, $r/r_{200}$.

Intensive Broadband Reverberation Mapping of Fairall 9 with 1.8 yr of Daily Swift Monitoring
We present 1.8 yr of near-daily Swift monitoring of the bright, strongly variable Type 1 active galactic nucleus (AGN) Fairall 9. Totaling 575 successful visits, this is the largest such campaign reported to date.

A MULTI-WAVELENGTH STUDY OF THE NATURE OF TYPE 1.8/1.9 SEYFERT GALAXIES [PDF]
We focus on determining the underlying physical cause of a Seyfert galaxy's appearance as type 1.8 or 1.9. Are these “intermediate” Seyfert types typical Seyfert 1 nuclei with reddened broad-line regions?
