The VIRUS-P Exploration of Nearby Galaxies (VENGA): Survey Design and First Results
VENGA is a large-scale extragalactic IFU survey, which maps the bulges, bars and large parts of the outer disks of 32 nearby normal spiral galaxies. The targets are chosen to span a wide range in Hubble types, star formation activities, morphologies, and

We present a fully printed aqueous zinc‐ion microbattery (ZnIB) enabled by graphene‐decorated zinc anode and printed MnO@NC cathode using sustainable aqueous‐based ink formulations. The printed 3D electrodes ensure uniform zinc deposition, low overpotential, and long‐term stability.

Freshwater environments are intertwined with human activities and the consequence has been environmental degradation and biodiversity loss. Fish provide key ecological and economic benefits, and fish abundance and diversity can be affected by human activities resulting in functional diversity (FD) changes that might scale up to ecosystem impacts ...

Chaotic Scattering on Individual Quantum Graphs
For chaotic scattering on quantum graphs, the semiclassical approximation is exact. We use this fact and employ supersymmetry, the colour-flavour transformation, and the saddle-point approximation to calculate the exact expression for the lowest and ...

A Graph Neural Network Approach to Cross‐Cultural Narrative Visualization for Educational Reform
A BERT‐GNN framework integrated with systemic functional linguistics identifies narrative functions in Thai literary texts and constructs cultural influence graphs for cross‐cultural analysis and digital humanities applications. ABSTRACT Thai literary classics constitute an important medium for the interaction of Southeast Asian multicultural ...

Damping of sound waves in superfluid nucleon-hyperon matter of neutron stars
We consider sound waves in superfluid nucleon-hyperon matter of massive neutron-star cores. We calculate and analyze the speeds of sound modes and their damping times due to the shear viscosity and non-equilibrium weak processes of particle ...

Dry–Hot Compound Events Driving the 2024 Pantanal Wildfires
Extreme wildfires in the Pantanal in 2024 were driven by a cascade of heatwaves, rainfall deficits and the absence of the annual flood pulse. These conditions dried soils and rivers, enhanced fuel accumulation and enabled early and intense fire outbreaks.

Proof of the renormalizability of the gradient flow
We give an alternative perturbative proof of the renormalizability of the system defined by the gradient flow and the fermion flow in vector-like gauge theories.Comment: 29 pages, the final version to appear in Nuclear Physics

The Interactive Class of SFL for seniors
The intention of this article is to reflect on the potential of the interactive class for E/LE (Spanish as Foreign Language) learning by older adults, inserted in the courses offered by the Universidad de Oriente. Older people request the service mainly as an instrumental need: to learn the language in order to cover basic communication needs in ...
