Analyzing the performance and security by using SHA3 in WEP
2015 IEEE International Conference on Engineering and Technology (ICETECH), 2015This paper deals with the problems arising in WEP and how we can improve it by using SHA3 in WEP. First part of the paper basically focuses on WLAN, WEP, Encryption and decryption in WEP, Weaknesses of WEP. Second part explains SHA3 (Secure Hash Algorithm-3) and its comparison with earlier versions.

Differential Fault Analysis of SHA3-224 and SHA3-256
2016 Workshop on Fault Diagnosis and Tolerance in Cryptography (FDTC), 2016The security of SHA-3 against different kinds of attacks are of vital importance for crypto systems with SHA-3 as the security engine. In this paper, we look into the differential fault analysis of SHA-3, and this is the first work to conquer SHA3-224 and SHA3-256 using differential fault analysis. Comparing with one existing related work, we relax the

An e-Voting Model to Preserve Vote Integrity Employing SHA3 Algorithm
Lecture Notes on Data Engineering and Communications Technologies, 2021Democracy is a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” But, in reality, the democratic processes are not trustworthy. One of the crucial democracy-oriented progression is an act of voting. When voting comes into consideration, it brings many feelings in reflection, like fraud, threatening, and cheating.

A Hardware Implementation of SHA3 Hash Processor using Cortex-M0
2019 International Conference on Electronics, Information, and Communication (ICEIC), 2019This paper describes a SHA3 hash processor that is interfaced with Cortex-M0 to be used as an IP. The SHA3 hash processor was designed with a round-iterative structure of 1600-bit data-path, and it supports four different message digest sizes of 512, 384, 256, and 224 bits depending on the hash function used.

High throughput implementation of SHA3 hash algorithm on field programmable gate array (FPGA)
Microelectronics Journal, 2019Abstract Cryptographic hash function is an essential element in sensitive communications, such as banking, military and health. It ensures secure communication by checking data integrity, storing passwords and other important roles. Keccak hash function (i.e. SHA3) is the best one in terms of resistance against recent cryptanalysis attacks as well as

A secure and efficient file protecting system based on SHA3 and parallel AES
Parallel Computing, 2016We propose a secure and efficient file protecting system (SEFPS) that uses currently excellent SHA3 and parallel AES.We prove the security of SEFPS in terms of confidentiality and integrity. We design and implement the three variants of SEFPS adopting GPU parallelism or/and CPU parallelism. We evaluate the SEFPS' performance on two representative ...
