Table S4.xlsx from Transcriptome analysis and mining of genes related to shade tolerance in foxtail millet (Setaria italica (L.) P. Beauv.)

open access: yes, 2022
A stereo interplanting system with foxtail millet beneath chestnut trees is an effective planting method to raise the utilization of land in chestnut orchards, increase yields and improve quality of chestnut nuts.

Characterizing shade tolerance by the relationship between mortality and growth in tree saplings in a southeastern Texas forest

open access: yes, 2001
We investigated the relationship between shade tolerance and sapling mortality using data collected over 15 years in a mesic forest in southeastern Texas. Seven species representing a range of shade-tolerance classes were included in the study.

Soft and Transient Bioelectronics Enabled by Polymer‐Free Ti3C2Tx MXene Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present Ti3C2Tx MXene hydrogel (MXgel) bioelectronics, a soft, flexible, and fully transient platform for high‐fidelity neural recording and stimulation. MXgel bioelectronics exhibit exceptional electrical conductivities, low electrochemical impedances, and high charge injection capacities.

A Simple Descriptor for Solid‐State Ionic Conductors Across Chemistries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Researchers develop a simple and transferable descriptor, distance contraction, for solid‐state ion migration across Li‐, Na‐, K‐, and Mg‐ion conductors and diverse anion chemistries. By capturing the maximum local contraction experienced by the migrating ion, the descriptor enables rapid materials screening and unifies diverse ion‐transport mechanisms.

Monolithically 3D‐Printed Spectral‐Spatial Meta‐Authenticators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A single height map printed in a low‐index resin by two‐photon lithography encodes multiple visible wavelengths in one metasurface without any polarization optics. A fabrication‐aware optimization folds the printable height levels into the design, so the device is printed as optimized.
