Greenhouse tomato production with electricity generation by roof-mounted flexible solar panels
The integration of renewable energy sources into greenhouse crop production in southeastern Spain could provide extra income for growers. Wind energy could be captured by small to medium-sized wind turbines, gas could be produced from biomass, and solar ...

Shading and masking affect the performance of photovoltaic systems—a review
Photovoltaic collectors in the second and in the subsequent rows in a multiple row deployment of PV fields are subject to two effects: Shading and masking both of which reduce the incident solar radiation, and hence reduce the electric energy generated ...

Human cytomegalovirus infection is common in normal prostate epithelium, prostate tumor tissue, and prostate cancer cell lines. CMV promotes cell survival, proliferation, and androgen receptor signaling. Anti‐CMV pharmaceutical compounds in clinical use inhibited cell expansion in prostate cancer models in vitro and in vivo, motivating investigation ...

Single‐cell transcriptomics of prostate cancer patient‐derived xenografts reveals distinct features of neuroendocrine (NE) subtypes. Tumours with focal NE differentiation (NED) share transcriptional programmes with adenocarcinoma, differing from large and small cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC). Our work defines the molecular landscape of NEPC,

A graph-spectral approach to shape-from-shading [PDF]
In this paper, we explore how graph-spectral methods can be used to develop a new shape-from-shading algorithm. We characterize the field of surface normals using a weight matrix whose elements are computed from the sectional curvature between different ...

This study presents a novel approach to teaching Python and bioinformatics using team‐based learning and cloud‐hosted notebooks. By integrating interactive coding into biomedical education, the method improves accessibility, student engagement, and confidence—especially for those without a computing background.
