A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Face Recognition under Illumination Variation Using Shadow Compensation and Pixel Selection

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2012
We propose a robust face recognition method under illumination variation. By using shadow compensation methods, we restore the image of a facial image taken under arbitrary illumination into an image that is similar to the image taken with frontal ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

M-O SiamRPN with Weight Adaptive Joint MIoU for UAV Visual Localization

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
Vision-based unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) localization is capable of providing real-time coordinates independently during GNSS interruption, which is important in security, agriculture, industrial mapping, and other fields.

Refinement of amino‐acid conformation vs. difference density maps in time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography data analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Object-based change detection method for high-resolution remote sensing image combining shadow compensation and multi-scale fusion

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2018
As an interpreting symbol of remote sensing images, shadow, however, brings about “pseudo changes”,which is one of the main sources leading to error detection in high-resolution remote sensing image change detection. For this issue,an object-based high ...

A 3-D Surface Reconstruction with Shadow Processing for Optical Tactile Sensors

open access: yesSensors, 2018
An optical tactile sensor technique with 3-dimension (3-D) surface reconstruction is proposed for robotic fingers. The hardware of the tactile sensor consists of a surface deformation sensing layer, an image sensor and four individually controlled ...

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

OBJECT-BASED ANALYSIS OF LIDAR GEOMETRIC FEATURES FOR VEGETATION DETECTION IN SHADED AREAS [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2016
The extraction of land cover information from remote sensing data is a complex process. Spectral information has been widely utilized in classifying remote sensing images. However, shadows limit the use of multispectral images because they result in loss
