Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

The effect of urban environment on large-scale path loss model’s main parameters for mmWave 5G mobile network in Iraq

open access: yesOpen Engineering
The high speeds resulting from the use of millimeter waves (mmWave) in 5G mobile networks are accompanied by high path loss. The issue of generating a reliable propagation model of radio waves is crucial to the development of cellular networks since it ...

On Shadowing the κ-μ Fading Model

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this paper, we extensively investigate the way in which κ-μ fading channels can be impacted by shadowing. Following from this, a family of shadowed κ-μ fading models are introduced and classified according to whether the underlying κ-μ fading undergoes single or double shadowing.

On Shadowing the $\kappa$-$\mu$ Fading Model

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we extensively investigate the way in which $\kappa$-$\mu$ fading channels can be impacted by shadowing. A family of shadowed $\kappa$-$\mu$ fading models are introduced and classified according to whether the underlying $\kappa$-$\mu$ fading undergoes single or double shadowing.

Kinetic Insights into Precursor‐Assisted Soft Sphere Close Packing Revealed by In Situ GISAXS with Implications for Gas Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The versatile precursor‐assisted soft sphere close packing during slot‐die coating is investigated with in situ X‐ray scattering. The soft crystallization pathways towards a close packing involve multistep structural transitions such as surface nucleation, in‐plane, and out‐of‐plane crystallization.

An Enhanced Path Loss Model for Maritime Communication Channels

open access: yesIEEE Access
This study proposes a new ocean propagation loss model, the curved ground loss (CGL) model, to improve the existing models by considering the effects of sea surface roughness, earth curvature, and sea wave height on signal fading at the reflection point.

On Critical Density for Coverage and Connectivity in Directional Sensor Network over Stochastic Channels Using Continuum Percolation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2015
Sensing coverage, which is one of vital issues in the design of wireless sensor networks (WSNs), can usually interact with other performance metrics such as network connectivity and energy consumption.

Shadow Fading Correlation in High-Speed Railway Environments

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2014
In the design of diversity and fast handover schemes for high-speed railways (HSRs), a better understanding of the shadow fading correlation properties is required. In this paper, both auto- and cross-correlation models of shadow fading in HSR environments are proposed based on a large set of measurements with 6146 cells in China.

Flux‐Regulated Crystallization of Perovskites Using Machine Learning‐Predicted Solvent Evaporation Rates for X‐Ray Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By integrating machine learning into flux‐regulated crystallization (FRC), accurate prediction of solvent evaporation rates in real time, improving crystallization control and reducing crystal growth variability by over threefold, is achieved. This enhances the reproducibility and quality of perovskite single crystals, leading to reproducible ...

Demonstration of an All‐Optical AND Gate Mediated by Photochromic Molecules

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A logic AND gate that runs on photons is demonstrated. It relies on two spatially separated photochromic molecules that work in tandem. Abstract The realization of a photonic logic AND gate, i.e. a logic AND gate that runs on photons rather than electrons, and where all steps are controlled by light, is demonstrated. In a proof‐of‐principle experiment,
