Hexagonal Hollow‐Core Photonic Crystal Fiber for High‐Sensitivity Terahertz Glucose Detection
Journal of Biophotonics, Volume 19, Issue 8, August 2026.A novel hexagonal hollow‐core photonic crystal fiber (HPhCF) operating at 2.2 THz is proposed for rapid, non‐invasive detection of urinary glucose. The Zeonex‐based hollow‐core architecture enhances light‐analyte interaction, enabling 96.90% relative sensitivity while maintaining ultra‐low confinement loss and low effective material loss.
