Soil-pile-structure interaction:experimental outcomes from shaking table tests [PDF]
An effective way to study the complex seismic soil-structure interaction phenomena is to investigate the response of physical scaled models in 1-g or n-g laboratory devices.

Centrifugal shaking table tests on soil liquefaction and progress of LEAP projects
The centrifugal shaking table test is one of the most promising approaches to study soil liquefaction problems. On one hand, it can reproduce seismic response and reveal the ground failure mechanism induced by soil liquefaction, providing the scientific ...

A shaking table real-time substructure experiment of an equipment–structure–soil interaction system
Based on branch substructure method, this article deduces motion equation of an equipment–structure–soil interaction system. The equation is converted and applied to a shaking table real-time substructure experiment.

Mechanism study on the interaction effects of shaking table array-test structure
To study the interaction mechanism of shaking table-test structure in shaking table test, an analytical model of shaking table array-test structure was established. Based on the analytical model, the influence of structure damping, frequency, and shaking

...I do not condone coarseness at the table, but its adversary, delicacy, has risen to such prominence that if the Duchess of Tweedleborn were to give vent to a belch, no matter how tiny or how Bacchanalian, the scandal would be earth-shaking..

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
