Shaking Table Tests on Soil-Structure System to Determine Lateral Seismic Response of Buildings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this study, a series of experimental shaking table tests were performed on a physical fixed based model (structure directly fixed on top of the shaking table) and a flexible base model (soil-structure system) under the influence of four scaled ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Advances in Real-Time Hybrid Testing Technology for Shaking Table Substructure Testing

open access: yesFrontiers in Built Environment, 2020
Shaking table substructure testing (STST) takes the substructure with complex behavior physically tested, with the behavior of the rest structural system being numerically simulated.

Shaking table tests on shallow foundations [PDF]

open access: yesWIT Transactions on The Built Environment, Vol 93, 2007
In this paper the results of shaking table tests on shallow foundations, using dry Hostun RF sand, are presented. These tests were performed in a six-degree of freedom seismic simulator formed by 3 m long square table, able to move 10 t mass with up to 1-g accelerations.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Influence of the Duration Compression Ratio of the Input Motion on the Seismic Response of a Soil–Pile–Bridge Structure System in Shaking Table Tests

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
In the shaking table test of a soil–pile–bridge structure system, it is difficult to keep the similarity relations of the model structure and that of the model soil consistent.

Artificial table testing dynamically adaptive systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Dynamically Adaptive Systems (DAS) are systems that modify their behavior and structure in response to changes in their surrounding environment. Critical mission systems increasingly incorporate adaptation and response to the environment; examples ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
