ABSTRACT Understanding how changes in catchment conditions affect ecohydrology in response to rainfall‐runoff events is crucial when developing informed strategies to enhance flow resilience, restore natural habitats, interpret water quality data or reduce flood risk.

Shallow lake economics run deep: Nonlinear aspects of an economic-ecological interest conflict [PDF]
Outcomes of the shallow lake interest conflict are presented in a number of different contexts: quasi-static and dynamic social planning, and quasi-static one-shot and repeated non-cooperative play. As the underlying dynamics are non-convex, the analysis

Fish communities in shallow lakes
While there is an intuitive understanding of what “shallow lake” means, it is more difficult to provide a precise definition of the term. For our purposes, we could include in this category lakes with a depth not exceeding 10 m and with no permanent stratification of the water column (Lévêque & Quensière, 1988).

ABSTRACT The Marias River flows from Glacier National Park through northcentral Montana, and into the Missouri River. Annual flows gradually declined from 1902 to 2024 (~3.2%/decade) and the 1952 Tiber Dam and Lake Elwell reservoir were operated to attenuate peak flows and stabilize downstream flows year‐round.

ABSTRACT Anthropogenic impacts on the thermal regime of rivers include climate change and deforestation. For the latter, developing modelling tools that can account for the impact of varying vegetation cover on river temperatures is essential. This study describes a new addition to the CEQUEAU hydrological and water temperature model: a shading ...

Viral ecology of a shallow eutrophic lake.
This thesis aims to give an insight into the ecology of the viral community in a shallow eutrophic lake. To achieve this, the population dynamics, diversity and control of the viral community in Lake Loosdrecht were studied, as well as the impact of the viral community on plankton mortality and community composition. A seasonal study of Lake Loosdrecht

This study presents an end‐to‐end computer‐vision pipeline for monitoring fish migration using underwater video. We integrate field camera deployment, annotation, model training and automated in‐season counting to generate continuous, high‐resolution data on river herring spawning migration.
