Reverberation loss in shallow water
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1995Summary: In this paper, reverberation loss is considered as a basic physical quantity to describe shallow water reverberation, and reverberation loss versus time was calculated by using three models: the ray-based model, the WKBZ mode models with account taken and not taken of the effects of complex eigenvalues.

Shallow Water Ship Hydrodynamics
2011In this chapter we consider slender ships in shallow water; we discuss three related topics. We are, among others, interested in the influence of the bottom on the vertical motion of the ship. It turns out that a ship in shallow water experiences a certain sinkage and trim due to the bottom effect.

In this paper a set of exact nonlinear equations is derived for gravity flows. By assuming the flow to be shallow and assuming the vertical acceleration to be small these equations reduce to the classical equations for long waves in shallow water.
